From Finca Morena you are only 15 minutes from the beaches of Mojacar and Garrucha. Even at high season you will find these beaches fairly unpopulated.  Drive a little further and you will be in the protected natural park of Cabo de Gata that boasts some of the best beaches in Spain. There are many small fishing villages scattered along the Cabo de Gata coastline, which make a good refreshment point. Or if you are traveling to one of the more remote beaches don not forget to take supplies.

Cabo de Gata boasts some of Spain's best beaches. Due to its protection as a Natural Park the beaches here remain untouched by the ugly hand of the developers. Lets hope it stays this way. The small towns of Agua Amarga & San Jose have sheltered coved beaches with shallow water and of course plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. For the more remote and less crowded beaches visit Cala de Monsul, Penon Blanco, Cala Plomo, Playa de Playazo, Playa-Los-Genoveses, Playa Los Escullos or Cala de Cuervo

Garrucha to San Juan de los Terreros . Traveling north west along the coast road you firstly reach Garrucha which has a sheltered beach with safe waters and plenty of facilities.  Vera playa a wide and sandy beach stretches several kilometers along the coast part of which is officially nudist. A short further drive is the old mining village of Villaricos with many small quiet  beaches scattered along a rugged coast. San Juan marks the boarder with Murcia and has a very pleasant sandy beach with shallow water and plenty facilities.
